The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially opened the INEC Ad-Hoc Staff Recruitment for Election Staff (INECPRES) for the upcoming Anambra State Governorship Election.

Eligibility Requirements For INEC Ad-Hoc Staff Recruitment:

NYSC members
Federal/State civil servants
Students of tertiary institutions
Staff of MDAs
ICT professionals (for RATECH roles)

General Requirements For INEC Ad-Hoc Staff Recruitment

You must not be a member of any political party, nor have publicly expressed support for any candidate or party.
You should reside in the state for which you are applying (for Anambra, Delta, Enugu or Imo), except for RATECHs.

Requirements by Position

Position	Specific Requirements
Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPO)	– Must be a public/civil servant on Grade Level (GL) 10‑14. – Or an INEC Registration Area Officer / INEC staff likewise not engaged in other election duties, and in GL 10‑14.
RAC Manager (Registration Area Centre Manager)	– Must be Head of School or staff of the institution/building hosting the RAC. – Must be Grade Level 07 or above.
Presiding Officer (PO) / Assistant Presiding Officer (APO)	Any of the following: • Serving Corps member (NYSC) • Penultimate student of a federal or state tertiary institution with some IT knowledge • Permanent staff of a Ministry, Department or Agency (MDA), with OND qualification or Grade Levels 07‑10 • INEC permanent staff on Grade Level 07‑8 • Former NYSC corps member (i.e. someone who did NYSC recently: not earlier than 2021)
RATECH (Registration Area Technical Support)	– Must have an IT background. – Must be a suitable INEC ICT staff (State & Headquarters) not engaged in any other duties.

Other Application Requirements (Process / Documents)

Valid means of identification.
A recent passport photograph (plain / white background), not larger than 5 MB.
A functional email address and mobile number.
Bank account number for payments.
For former and current corps members: NYSC Call‑up Number.
Copy of highest educational qualification.
Two referees (with contact details).

How to Apply For INEC Ad-Hoc Staff Recruitment

Check Eligibility First
Go to the https://pres.inecnigeria.org Portal “Check Eligibility” section and verify you meet the criteria for the position you want (SPO, PO, APO, RAC Manager, RATECH).
Collect Required Documents & Information
Before you start, make sure you have the following ready:
- Functional email address
- Mobile phone number that works
- Personal bank account number
- Recent passport photograph (white/plain background, ≤ 5MB)
- Contact details of two referees (emails & phone numbers)
- Valid Staff ID / Student ID number if applicable
- If former or current NYSC member: your NYSC Call‑up number
- Copy of your highest educational qualification (pdf)
- Means of identification (e.g. national ID, driver’s licence) in .jpg / .jpeg
Register on the Portal
- Go to the INECPRES registration page: “Register” or “Create Profile”
- If you already have a profile (from previous years) you can login and update as needed.
Set Up a Password
- Once you register, you’ll be asked to set a password. After that, you get automatically logged in to fill your application form.
Fill Out the Application Form
The form is broken into sections:
- Personal Information
- Contact Information
- Bank Details
- Be sure to use names etc. exactly as linked to your Bank Verification Number (BVN) (if required).
Upload Supporting Files
- Passport photo (white/plain background, ≤ 5 MB)
- ID / means of identification file (.jpg / .jpeg)
- Certificate / qualification (pdf)
Provide Referee Details
- Two referees, their contact info (phone, email)
Attestation & Review
- There is an attestation box: you’ll confirm that the information you provided is true and may be validated.
- Before submitting, review all details thoroughly: once submitted, you can’t edit.
Submit the Application
- After uploading everything and filling the form, you submit.
Print Acknowledgement Slip
- Once submitted, an acknowledgement slip will be generated. Print it – you’ll need it later for verification.
