Nigerian Navy Recruitment 2025

The Nigerian Navy Recruitment has officially announced the Batch 38 Recruitment (38AK) exercise. This opportunity is only open to Senior Secondary School Certificate holders (SSCE), National Diploma holders (ND) and National Certificate in Education (NCE) who wish to build a career in the Nigerian Navy.

If you’re a graduate with (BSc, HND, BA, or equivalent), this particular recruitment is not for you. Instead, you should apply through the Nigerian Navy graduate or direct entry service commission route.

General Requirements for Nigerian Navy Recruitment 2025

To be eligible for the Nigerian Navy Batch 38 recruitment, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.

  • Must possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN).

  • Age Limits:

    • 18 – 22 years for SSCE holders.

    • 18 – 26 years for OND, NCE, drivers, mechanics, nurses, and equivalent roles.

    • Some specialized categories may allow up to 28 years.

  • Education: Minimum of 5 Credits in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings. Certificates must not be older than 2015.

  • Must be single (not married).

  • Must be medically, physically, and mentally fit for military training.

  • Height Requirements:

    • Male: 1.69m and above.

    • Female: 1.65m and above.

  • Must have no criminal record, and must not be a member of any cult or secret society.

  • Computer literacy is an added advantage.

Disqualification Conditions for Nigerian Navy Recruitment 2025

Applicants will be disqualified if they:

  • Submit multiple applications.

  • Provide false documents or incorrect information.

  • Have visible tattoos, stammering issues, or health conditions that limit performance.

  • Are found to have paid anyone for assistance in the recruitment process.

How to Apply for Nigerian Navy Recruitment 2025

  1. Go to the official portal  www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng

  2. Create an account with your email and phone number.

  3. Fill the form carefully and upload your credentials.

  4. Submit once (do not apply more than once).

  5. Print your application summary form after submission.

  6. Keep checking your email/phone for updates from the Navy.

Screening & Shortlisting

  • After applications close, shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

  • Next stage will include medical tests, physical fitness checks, and document verification.

  • Successful candidates will proceed to the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS), usually located in Onne, Rivers State, for full military training as Ordinary Seamen.
